Spencers Jewellers is a traditional family jewellers based in the Staple Hill area of Bristol. Please note we are currently expanding this website to include more of our products. We also sell a wide range of gold and silver jewellery, watches, clocks, glassware, collectable china and giftware.
Having completed a full apprenticeship, Reginald Holman, previously a skilled toolmaker, set up in business from home in Argyle Road, Fishponds repairing pigeon clocks, clocks and watches, and as business grew he moved to the present site on Fishponds Road, previously part of a row of cottages, and set up the shop - R.A.HOLMAN watchmakers and jewellers in 1927.
As the majority of our jewellery is designed and crafted by John himself, the impressive collection displayed within our shops is merely a sample of the pieces that we are able to offer. Whether you know exactly what you want, or need the friendly guidance of our expert team, we invite you to view our extensive selection of jewellery in stock, or discuss a specially commissioned design which is unique to you, over a cappuccino, cold beer or glass of champagne.
I grew up and had my children in Bristol. We moved to North Somerset in 2002 which is when the jewelley designing took off. I love to go on walks with my springer, Finley either in the countyside or on beach walks. I find my inspirations whilst out walking. I love to bake, and spending time in the garden, when time allows!
Kemps Jewellers is one of Bristol's longest running businesses having been established in 1881, and celebrated 130 years trading in 2011. Since 1881 it has earned an enviable reputation for quality and service and is one of the few companies in the area that can boast continuous family ownership since late 19th century. Established in 1881, qualified clock maker William Wickenden Kemp opened his business at 60 Stokes Croft, then a smart and fashionable shopping area.
In jewellery making I aspire to capture elegance, beauty and individuality in one off pieces. I love the process of working with resistant metal and I hand work sheet silver, rolling, hammering and coaxing it until it is fine enough to form into delicate flowers and floral sprays. These are entwined into exquisite tiaras, hair adornments and corsages encrusted with precious stones and pearls.
For many years I have been designing and making jewellery, selling through small independent shops and bespoke commissions for a growing network of clients in and around Bristol and the South West. I specialise in handmade, contemporary jewellery at an affordable price focusing on silver and gold with semi precious stones and enamelling detail to make items truly bespoke and special.
My name is Ali, and I enjoy creating personally handmade pieces of jewellery using swarovski crystals, pearls, semi precious gemstones and glass beads. With pieces ranging from Casual, everyday jewellery wear to Special occasions and Bridal jewellery. Based in Bristol, South West England, UK, I became interested in jewellery making a few years ago and find it very rewarding seeing people enjoy wearing my personally made pieces of jewellery.
Designed and handmade by designer maker Sally Reay from the highest quality materials, the emphasis is firmly on stylish modern jewellery at affordable prices. As well as the Inspirals silver jewellery range, Sally also works to commission making bespoke engagement & wedding rings, nameplate necklaces and customers own designs - see our commission service for more info.
As well as selling through parties, I also sell at a variety of local events including craft fayres, ladies nights, fetes, festivals and carnivals. Where possible, I have provided links these events on the Forthcoming Events page. You can also purchase my jewellery from the Walton Park Hotel in Clevedon, Indigo Tanning & Beauty in Worle, Weston-Super-Mare and at Jupe Hairstyling in Shirehampton.
